New Ultrasound Device for Emergency Response
Westpac
Life Flight’s highly trained Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Air Ambulance Plane teams are on-call 24/7 and ready to provide rapid medical air response when every moment counts.
Life Flight were delighted to receive funding from Pub Charity for a new specialised piece of medical equipment for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
This is a portable handheld ultrasound device that has been developed to provide robust, portable, reliable, quick and low-cost diagnostic imaging.
A heartfelt thanks to Phillips who donated a tablet to allow the imaging to be displayed and sent to medical personnel if required.
Having the ability to scan at the roadside (or wherever our emergency team find themselves) will be a powerful tool, enhancing diagnostic ability, procedural safety, specific treatment and time sensitive care.

Life Flight thanks Pub Charity for their generous support in funding this project.
