Mark Johnston
Get to know
Mark joined the Life Flight Team as CEO back in March 2019. Originally from just outside Edinburgh, he moved to London after graduating from Heriot-Watt University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Business Organisation at the start of the 90s and has now called Wellington home for over 25 years. Since then, he’s amassed over 30 years of international commercial management experience in a variety of competitive environments, both back in the UK and here in New Zealand, including extensive involvement at senior management level across the local Not-For-Profit sector.
He lives with his partner Anna and 3 of their 4 four ‘Kiwi Kids’ at the top of Mount Victoria in the world’s best little Capital City, while their eldest son now lives and works in Auckland. From home he can just about see what’s going on outside the Life Flight Base on the Western apron at Wellington International Airport, as well as how busy the links are at Miramar Golf Club where he indulges his lifelong passion for golf whenever he gets the chance to.
