Air Ambulance Plane Flight Team

The flight teams on our Air Ambulance Planes are made up of flight doctors and nurses from Health NZ who are specially trained in aviation medicine. The teams will change depending on the needs of the patient.

They are expert problem solvers, and provide high-level intensive care in the air.

With many of our patient transfers being children and babies, we often fly with the Neonatal and Pediatric ICU teams.

They also assess and coordinate transfers between ICUs (Intensive Care Units) to ensure everything is ready for the patient when they land.
