Get to know Craig
With several years of experience in various vocations, Craig joined Life Flight in April 2018, undertaking several Safety System Management courses and recently joining the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM).
In this role, Craig ensures compliance is maintained and investigates and addresses health and safety issues and quality in all areas of the organisation. He is strengthening relationships with all interested parties and colleagues in a multi-PCBU environment in several overlapping duties and responsibilities.
Before joining Life Flight, Craig has held roles as Electrical & Electronic Artificer on Lighthouses around Scotland; Senior Systems Engineer working on weapon systems on submarines; Police Officer; ICT Manager; and a business owner/operator in New Zealand.
Craig enjoys being part of the Life Flight Team as all involved in the organisation have a similar mindset in that they are there to help others. The real-life stories on how they impact others’ lives, and families are rewarding on their own. Every day is enjoyable and challenging in the highly regulated aviation sector, bringing together previous experiences and learning new skills.
Craig is a keen sportsman playing various sports, mainly rugby – he was fortunate to play and referee at a high level. He is now attempting ‘Lindy Hop’ dancing as another challenge.
